A Fresh Re-Brand
Introducing, "Stop, I love that!"
When I created my Substack, I began with the intention of sharing the things (clothes, designs, home goods, art) that I love, that inspire me, that bring me joy, that make me feel grateful, etc. While all of my prior Substack posts have been focused on clothes (because I am shamelessly a clothes addict), I find myself on the brink of some new inspiration. Maybe it’s my upcoming 30th birthday or maybe it’s the nearing close of 2024. Regardless the cause, a sense of newly defined purpose is springing forth from me, which is inspiring me to get ~serious~ about Substack and to expand the topic of my articles to beyond what I’m wearing.
Introducing, “Stop, I love that!” The new title for my Substack was born when I realized that without fail, every time I find something beautiful, I almost impulsively, proclaim, “stop, I love that!” Let this Substack act as my public diary of all things that stir in me some good old fashion joy.
Starting strong with what I’m reading…
Lonesome Dove is changing my life and I’m only 1/3 of the way in. I’m not one for the a Western novel, but this one has me hooked. The writing has the depth and detail of a true novel, the characters have my heart, and the storyline (though somewhat slow at first) has me hooked.
With Christmas just over two weeks out, I have been shopping for espresso mugs for my husband, an espresso addict. In the midst of my search I stumbled upon these incredible plates by Rose Balimba.
Do these not automatically make you want a bowl of pasta?? Luckily my husband does not have a Substack, so I will share these Ivo Angel espresso cups I found for him and am beyond obsessed with.
Moving on to Emily Joubert. I stumbled into Emily Joubert during a weekend trip to Santa Barbara with my husband. Upon walking in, I immediately felt at home. A cozy store filled with ceramics, jewelry, soaps, candles, artwork, the most adorable Christmas ornaments, and beautiful pajamas.

It was physically hard not to buy everything in the store. With much self control I only walked away with a pair of pajamas that have me very excited to get ready for bed.
It wouldn't be a true Angela Substack article without mentioning an outfit. With my 30th birthday coming up I am in my head planning on what to wear for an intimate birthday dinner with me and my husband. While I looove birthday parties when celebrating other people, I personally prefer something more intimate when celebrating myself.
While I wanted to opt for a fun, flirty dress and tights, it’s December and the weather has compelled me to choose something warmer. I am thinking of pairing this newly acquired LouLou Studio faux fur jacket paired with these delicious pair of vintage Prada pants from The Real Real that needed no alterations whatsoever *chef’s kiss*, all tied together with these kitten heels from Reformation.
Lastly, I have been invited to a Christmas party where, instead of playing the famous White Elephant game, we have been asked to bring two of an item we love for a gift exchange. (It’s almost as if the host knew I am re-branding my Substack article!) The list of things that I love are endless. However, recently, what I have been loving most is something homemade: sourdough bread. Thus, I have opted to bring my favorite snack. I will be brining two sourdough loaves, two bottles of Graza Olive Oil, and two boxes of Maldon Salt.

This is a fun gift idea if you have a homemade item that you love to make and want to share!
That’s all for now, and I hope you enjoyed, “Stop, I love that!”
xx
Angela
